First Lutheran 4K program
is a voluntary, comprehensive child development program available
to all four-year-old children whose birthday is on or before September
1. First Lutheran 4K is a play-based program designed
to nurture the social, emotional and early literacy and math skills
of four-year-old children. It does not take the place of kindergarten.
First Lutheran 4K is implemented using a community-collaborative
model that builds on existing resources within our community. |
A note from the

My
name is Heidi Fischer and I am teaching First Lutheran’s 4-K class.
I look forward to a fun year of playing, laughing and learning with
my students.
I have a
Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary
Education from UW-La Crosse. I also have minors in early childhood
and adaptive education. I taught Kindergarten for a year in
Reedsburg before relocating to the Madison area to be closer to family
and raise my own children. I taught a year at Mary Linsimier
Preschool and then Heart of Brooklyn Childcare for several years.
I have also taught preschool gymnastics at Brooklyn Gymnastics and
Cheer for 3 years.
Check back soon for a link to my blog page! This
is an additional way to communicate with families of my students.
Feel free to invite grandparents or other relatives to see what
we're doing in class. My goal is to post a summary of our
activities every day.
