Music

Music is very important at First Lutheran Church! That why the congregation offers a variety of options for people to express their faith musically.

Sunday School openings at 8:30 and 10:00 for children

  • Openings are 15 minutes and precede Sunday School classes
  • Children usually sing at the beginning of worship on the 3rd Sunday of the month during their usual openings time

Agape Bell Choir for middle school youth

  • Practices are usually on Wednesday nights at 5:30 pm
  • The Agape Bells usually ring at the 10:00 service on the 2nd Sunday of the month

Alleluia Bell Choir for adults and senior high youth

  • Practices are usually on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm
  • The Alleluia Bells usually ring at the 8:30 service on the 2nd Sunday of the month and at the 10:00 service on the 4th Sunday of the month

Vocal Senior Choir for adults and senior high youth

  • Practices are usually on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm
  • The Senior Choir helps lead the 8:30 service

Faith Alive Band for adults and senior high youth

  • The band includes guitars, keyboards, drums and vocalists
  • Practices are usually on Thursday evenings ~ vocals often practice separately
  • The band leads the 10:00 worship service

Various solos and ensembles

  • Opportunities for soloists and groups are available in the summer and during special times during the school year

Guest musicians

  • During the summer, First Lutheran often sponsors guest soloists or groups to accompany worship and offer anthems.
